When Jackie received the Cameo Bracelet from French President Charles De Gaulle (after the Mona Lisa painting was delivered to Washington DC), Esther Auchincloss Blitz decided to give Jackie this family heirloom that she thought would be a perfect match to the De Gaulle bracelet.
