Ruby Ring

Given to Jackie as a wedding gift by Aristotle Onassis in 1968, the ring consists of a large oval shaped ruby weighing 17.68 carats framed by round diamonds weighing approximately 5.50 carats. It is mounted in gold. Jackie wore the ring throughout her life, but the estate sold the ring at the famous Sotheby's auction in 1996. It was estimated to sell between $20,000.00 to $30,000.00, but it sold for $312,300.00
